Muhammad Yusuf Khan (born Maruthanayagam Pillai)[1] was a commandant of the British East India Company's Madras Army.
He was born in a TamilVellalar family in a village called Keelapanaiyur in British India, what is now in Mudukulathur Taluk, Ramanathapuram District of Tamil Nadu, India. He
