After a career in architecture and a 5 year focus on photography, Vilnius-based artist Tadao Cern (Tadas Cerniauskas)is currently concentrating on conceptual painting and installation art.
When looking beyond the categories and labels attempting to define his work, one can discover the rich playground of a restless explorer always able to reveal the unexpected in the most obvious situations, and to change the meaning of common objects by generating new contexts and settings for them to feel alive, different, to amaze, challenge and interact with the viewer.
More than mere spectators, the viewers experience a fascinating process of becoming, a result of insatiable curiosity and continuous experiment, possible through defying the known rules and practices to follow the path to innovation.
